Highlights of the seven lines

Don't miss the view out of the window. The S-Bahn trains pass some spectacular places, such as the moorland in Rothenthurm, the shore of Lake Walen and the area around the Säntis.

S4 Rapperswil–St. Gallen–Sargans

Since the timetable change on 10 December 2023, the S4 has been running from Rapperswil via St. Gallen to Sargans. Experience the Sitter Viaduct and Switzerland's highest railway viaduct, excursions in the Rheinthal and a view of the Säntis.

S6 Rapperswil–Ziegelbrücke–Glarus–Linthal

The S6 is the connection from Rapperswil to Ziegelbrücke, Glarus, Linthal-Braunwaldbahn. Stroll along the Rapperswil lakeside promenade, visit the Elm holiday region, the Sardona Tectonic Arena or Lake Klöntal.

S13 Wädenswil–Einsiedeln

The short journey from Wädenswil to Einsiedeln offers spectacular views of Lake Zurich. Visit the lido in Wädenswil, the Einsiedeln dairy or the imposing monastery.

S17 Rapperswil–Ziegelbrücke–Sargans

The S17 line connects Rapperswil and Ziegelbrücke with Sargans along Lake Walen.

S27 Ziegelbrücke–Siebnen-Wangen

The short journey on the S27 takes you from Ziegelbrücke via Bilten, Reichenburg and Schübelbach-Buttikon to Siebnen-Wangen.

S31 Biberbrugg–Arth-Goldau

From Biberbrugg to Arth Goldau. Take a hike through the moor, enjoy cross-country skiing on the Rothenthurm Finnenloipe, visit the Skywalk bridge at Hochstuckli and the Sattel mountain railway to Mostelberg or the Arth-Goldau zoo.

S40 Rapperswil–Einsiedeln

The S40 runs between Rapperswil, the town of roses, and Einsiedeln, via the Seedamm to Pfäffikon SZ.
