Chäserrugg

Travel to Walenstadt on the Aare Linth, S4 or S17 and take the bus to the terminus in Walenstadtberg. Initially a tarred road, the terrain quickly changes to a blue and white marked mountain route and leads up to Alp Tschingla via some scrambling sections. Here, after about two hours, you can take a refreshing break with a view of Lake Walen. The route continues along a variety of paths through the Valsloch, sometimes narrow and steep, to Chäserrugg - and now comes the reward: delicious chamois pepper from the local hunt in the summit restaurant.
