With a seat reservation on our routes, you can enjoy a particularly relaxed journey - without the stress of finding a seat.
Good to know
Seat reservations are only possible for the following trains:
Voralpen-Express
Treno Gottardo IR26 und IR46
Aare Linth IR35
Alpenrhein-Express IR13
(For IR35 and IR13 only if the note "R seat reservation possible" appears in the SBB online timetable).
How the reservation works
Go to the online timetable and search for your desired connection.
Click on "Select tickets" for the appropriate connection.
If you only want to reserve a seat without a public transport ticket, select the relevant person under “Travellers” and click on “Seat reservation only”. For a reservation for several travellers, you only need to enter the customer details for one person and can later select the seats for all travellers.
Specify journey details:
Select “Single journey”. To reserve the return journey on the same day or on another day at the same time, please select “Individual return journey”.
Choose your preferred travel category. Please select 1st or 2nd class.
Select your seat(s) in the coach layout and confirm by clicking “Confirm selection”. The reservation costs CHF 5.– per person and train. A maximum of 9 seats can be reserved.
Seat reservations are possible until shortly before departure, depending on availability.
