3-day bike experience Rhine route Andermatt-Sargans

The first stage is to drop off your luggage in Andermatt by 10.00 am. Your journey then begins with a climb up the Oberalp Pass. Once at the top, enjoy the unique mountain scenery before a rapid descent into the Val Tujetsch. You will pass pretty villages such as Selva, Rueras and Sedrun. A wonderful first day of cycling along the Rhine soon ends in the monastery village of Disentis.

Distance: approx. 32 kilometres, ↑600 m ↓905 m

The second stage begins with a steady up and down along beautiful and quiet nature. The Rhine gurgles nearby while you ride through a former floodplain and can observe rare songbirds. You will soon reach the stage destination of Ilanz, the economic and political center of the Surselva and the first town on the Rhine.

Distance: approx. 31 kilometers, ↑ 260 m ↓ 700 m

Your third and final day takes you directly through the Ruinaulta. Between Ilanz and Reichenau is the most impressive gorge in the country, the “Grand Canyon of Switzerland”. Take in the unique natural spectacle before continuing to Chur. Once you arrive in Chur, you can digest the first few hours of the day and try out one of the restaurants in the oldest city in Switzerland. The last hours of your journey will take you through the beautiful Bündner Herrschaft to Sargans station, where you can pick up your luggage until 5 p.m.

Booking period: In order to guarantee you a smooth booking process and journey, we ask you to book your trip at least 10 days before the desired departure date.

Outward and return journey: If you are not booking an additional night in Andermatt or Bad Ragaz, please select your return date as 3 days after the outward journey. Example: Outward journey on 18.07.25, return journey on 20.07.2025. If you book an additional night, select the outward and/or return date accordingly. You will find the voucher for your outward and return journey as well as the free hot drink in one of our trains in your user account after booking and you will also receive it by email.

Overnight stays: When booking, you simply select the start date of the trip and then, subject to availability, you will receive confirmation from Eurotrek for the two nights or any additional nights.

Your booking does not yet confirm the services. For this purpose, you will be contacted by the tour operator Eurotrek within two working days. If the accommodation is fully booked for the requested period and an alternative date is not possible for you, the full amount will be refunded to you.

Collection and return of e-bikes When you start your journey, your rental bike and a pannier will be ready and waiting for you at the starting point, Andermatt railway station. If you have booked an extra night, your rental bike will be delivered directly to your accommodation. The e-bike will take you reliably and comfortably to your destination, where you can easily return it either to Sargans railway station or, if you have booked an extra night, directly to your accommodation.

Your e-bike for the trip You will receive the e-bike Flyer Gotour 4/5. The minimum age is 16 years. Other bike types cannot be booked for this offer. Please state your height in cm when booking so that Eurotrek can provide the appropriate bike. Taking your own E-Bike If you want to take your own bike, unfortunately no reduction in the package price is possible.

Cycling helmet We request that you take your own helmet. If you do not have your own helmet, please report this to Eurotrek immediately after booking. A helmet can be provided free of charge, provided that this is requested in advance. If you do not request one, it will be assumed that you will be taking your own helmet.

You are responsible for your own refreshments during the walk.

Travel Individual arrival by public transport from all over Switzerland to Andermatt. Luggage can be dropped off at the luggage counter in Andermatt by 10:00 a.m. at the latest.

Return journey Departure by public transport from Sargans. For direct departure: Baggage can be picked up at the baggage counter in Sargans by 5:00 p.m. at the latest.

Your ticket is valid for a one-way trip from anywhere in Switzerland to Andermatt via GA area routes on the booked day. The return journey is from Sargans or, if you book an extra night, from Bad Ragaz via GA area routes on the booked day.

To purchase the GA offer, you need:

• a valid General Abonnement (GA)

• a day pass for the GA area of validity*

*Customers in possession of a day pass for the GA area of validity must also be able to present a valid Half Fare Travelcard.
