Winterland Locarno

From 20 November 2025 to 6 January 2026, Winterland envelops Locarno in a dreamlike atmosphere, transforming Piazza Grande and its surroundings into an enchanting winter wonderland. Among the attractions not to be missed: the large ice rink with free admission and the magical 18-hole ice mini golf course.

The rides, from the majestic two-storey carousel to the Christmas train, will delight young and old alike, while the kids' programme offers creative workshops and free shows.

The Christmas market captivates with its lights, crafts and the aromas of local specialities, while the gastronomic offerings invite you on a sensory journey through three pop-up restaurants — Fondue Chalet, Chinoise Igloo and French bistros housed in two old railway carriages — and a wide selection of street food from around the world. Adding to the magic is the audiovisual show “Nel cuore del tempo” (In the heart of time), which illuminates the facades of Piazza Grande every evening with a fairy tale of light, music and wonder.
