The unique atmosphere along the route with lots of clapping hands, cheers and live music make the run an unforgettable experience. Whether it's a 42-kilometer marathon, a 21-kilometer half marathon or a 10-kilometer CityRun: The route leads past world-famous Lucerne sights - and sometimes even through them.
Every year, 13,000 runners line up at the start in Lucerne and are cheered on by over 50,000 fans.
Course highlights:
Start directly on Lake Lucerne
Past the luxury hotel, Chapel Bridge and water tower
View of the mountain panorama of Central Switzerland
Around the Horw peninsula along Lake Lucerne
Along the shores of Lake Alpnach with a view of Obwalden
Horw atmosphere zone
Passage from the FC Lucerne football stadium and the Lucerne Culture and Convention Center (KKL)
Through the middle of Lucerne's old town
Finish at the Swiss Museum of Transport
Arrival: with the Treno Gottardo or the Voralpen-Express to Lucerne
