The Ascona Music Weeks have been one of the most renowned classical music festivals in Italian-speaking Switzerland for 80 years. The program consists of symphony concerts, chamber music evenings and recitals. World-famous artists have been guests in Ascona, many of whom have returned again and again and performed frequently.
The concerts take place in the picturesque churches of Collegio Papio in Ascona and San Francesco in Locarno. These are two churches with excellent acoustics. Artists and audiences can experience the concerts in an atmospheric setting that invites you to concentrate on the music. A unique sound experience.
The world-famous pianist Francesco Piemontesi has been directing the Ascona Music Weeks since 2013. This year, he has once again put together an edition of the highest quality.
