Description

If there is enough snow in the valley, the skins can already be mounted almost down in St. Stephan. Otherwise, you go along the road until there is enough snow and then finally ski through forest and field towards the goal. It takes some patience until the forest clears on Chirschbüelhubel and the Wistätthore becomes visible. The view over the Obersimmental during the ascent, over the Lasenberg, makes up for the long approach. From the hindere Laseberg, it's then about 500 meters elevation gain to the summit of Wistätthore. The panorama is breathtaking.

The descent starts along the ascent route with beautiful slopes. Then either continue following the ascent route over Chirschbüel or enjoy another very nice slope in the Dürrewald. Along the snow-covered Dürrewaldstrasse, the ascent track is reached again, which is then followed back to St. Stephan.
