Winterthur – Gyrenbad: “Züri Oberland-Höhenweg – Stage 1”

The entire Züri Oberland-Höhenweg takes you from Winterthur through a beautiful pre-alpine hiking area to Rapperswil. In the first stage, you walk from Winterthur to Gyrenbad near Turbenthal.

The route starts right in the middle of Winterthur. You walk through the beautiful old town and continue over the Heiligberg. Soon you reach the forest, which leads you to the 25 m high steel observation tower on the Eschenberg and the Bruderhaus wildlife park. After a short break, you continue towards Sennhof. From there, you follow the Töss dam path towards Zell. Take a break now and then and enjoy the tranquility of nature. You continue over sunny slopes surrounded by plenty of agriculture to the award-winning historic guesthouse Gyrenbad with its classic ambiance. You have now reached the first stage destination. Treat yourself to a delicious meal to end the day.
