Description
This easy walk starts at the parking lot on the Ampfernhöhe pass height between Sulz and Mönthal. A gently ascending natural road leads through the forest and the wonderful landscape of national importance, which is also part of the Jurapark Aargau nature park.
At the Cheisacher, near the observatory, it's worth looking back. In clear weather, you have an impressive view to the Alps. At the rest area by the observatory, there is an opportunity to take a break. From here, you can see the village of Sulz and all the way to the Black Forest.
The walk continues along the hiking trail to the Cheisacherturm. It's worth climbing the many steps of the delicate wooden tower. From its platform, you have a unique panoramic view over the nearby region, the Black Forest, the Alps, and all the way to the Vosges.
Follow the hiking trail signs.
