Winter trail to the Eiger north face W7

With the new Männlichenbahn, opened in winter 19/20, you go up to the middle station Holenstein. From there, the groomed winter hiking trail leads to Männlichen, where the mountain hut with a sunny terrace, great views of the surrounding 4000-meter peaks, and good food beckon. The path from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg is not always open, so you should check the status in advance. From Kleine Scheidegg, the winter hiking trail leads at the foot of the Eiger to Alpiglen. It is possible to continue down from Alpiglen towards Brandegg or Grindelwald. At Kl. Scheidegg, Alpiglen, or Brandegg you can take the train back to Grindelwald.
