Description
The winter hiking route is excellently prepared with the track vehicle and is very easy to walk for young and old with good footwear. Snowshoes are not necessary. The easy hike with only very short climbs leads from the Fuhren power plant, turn right from the main road at the Tea Room Fuhren, to Obermad and takes about one hour. The path is well signposted with panels and signposts. Along the way you will see small mountain villages, impressive mountains, the Gadmen ski lift, and the cross-country skiing area. With a bit of luck, you can also observe wildlife. There are places to eat in Fuhren, Gadmen, and Obermad at regular intervals. There are also postal stops in these villages for the return trip to the starting point. Tip: Guided full moon and new moon hikes with cozy fondue fun are held on the Gadmen winter hiking trail. Information is available from Hotel Alpenrose.
