Winter circular hike Village - Grotzenbüel - Village

The path leads from the Braunwaldbahn station through the idyllic village center to Schwettiberg (approx. 30 minutes). From there it leads in a gentle ascent up to Grotzenbüel (another 30 minutes), where the mountain restaurant Chämistube with a beautiful sun terrace is located. The path is well maintained and passes through short forest sections with constant views of the Alpine panorama.

Return is by gondola from Grotzenbüel back to Braunwald. Those who want to add some more fun to the hike can combine it with a sled ride. Sleds can be rented at the Grotzenbüel mountain station.

The path is ideal as a circular hike. Below the mountain restaurant (to the left of the start of the sledding piste) there is a marked path back to the village. The mountain station is reached in about 45 minutes.
