White views on the Kaienspitz

Partly the route follows the Appenzell Cultural Trail and the Panorama Path. On this sunny route you can soak up a lot of light and vitamin D in winter.

The Rehetobel Tourism Association was awarded the Hiking Bear this year for the new Panorama Path. The path is now part of Route 3 "Alpine Panorama Trail" of the national Swiss hiking network. The suggested route to Kaienspitz also partly runs on the Alpine Panorama Trail. The Kaienspitz, at 1122 meters, offers an impressive view in good weather conditions. The descent past the Nature Friends' House, which was inaugurated in 1952, ends in Heiden. The Vorderland community is considered a Biedermeier village due to its classical style town center.
