Where Bernese German was formerly spoken

From the funicular mountain station over Belvédère to the La Brigade farmhouse on the ridge of the height crest. Here you are surrounded by the magic of the Jura mountains: wide, gently rolling cow and horse pastures, mighty fir trees with branches reaching the ground, dark strips of forest, here and there a damp hollow and above it all an infinitely seeming sky. The highest point of the hike is reached at the L'Assesseur farmhouse. Via meadow paths, you pass the house La Biche descending into the wide hollow of La Chaux d'Abel, cross the main road at Petite Coronelle and gain some height again on the climb to the chapel. The farm Le Bousset, already on Jura territory, is located on the edge of a terrain hollow above which lies the stately village Les Bois.
