Description
The traces of the Goldau landslide from 1806 are omnipresent in the lake landscape shaped by extensive reed meadows: the moist valley floor is strewn with huge boulders, some of which are covered with moss. In the cantonal nature reserve and forest reserve, a rich flora and fauna grow and thrive. Together, the various areas of the moorland give a wild, natural charm. This beauty quickly pushes the original disaster into the background.
The Goldseeli and the water lily pond invite you to linger romantically. Situated in the forest, they recall fairy-tale enchanted places. Some of the ponds in the area have wooden boardwalks to get a close look at the water lilies and natural shores. Families prefer the adventure playground for breaks. There are various barbecue areas available for grilling your own sausages.
