Walk to the Gönhardgüter

The walk from the old town leads via neighborhood streets into the garden quarters of Aarau. The Gönhardgüter form an ensemble consisting of three manufacturer villas with their associated gardens, which today are a fixed part of the urban open space concept.

It is wonderfully easy to linger and breathe here. The park area of the Francke Villa houses a bathing facility. After being out of operation for decades, life was breathed back into the basin in the form of a water lily bath. The enchanted Gönhard area invites you to a picnic in nice weather, while the three magnificent villas Francke, Müller-Brunner, and Landolt can be admired from the outside.

On the way back, follow Bachstrasse back to the old town.
