Walk around the Rotsee

The popular walking path around the Rotsee is not technically demanding. There are hardly any elevation meters to overcome. A large part of the path is paved, otherwise there are gravel sections. The only part consisting of a path with roots is located between the Rotsee ferry station (south side) towards the Rotseebadi. However, it is possible to take the paved Kaspar-Kopp-Strasse to the Rotseebadi. Vehicles and bicycles are not allowed on the walking path around the Rotsee.

Along the route there are benches and barbecue areas here and there. On the south side at the Lucerne Rotsee rowing center, there is a great playground as well as a meadow that invites you to have a picnic. In summer, you can enjoy the cool water at the Rotseebadi or refresh yourself with drinks and snacks. Pedestrians are also warmly welcome to visit the Rotseebadi restaurant. Culinary delights are available all year round at the Seehüsli restaurant at the west end of the Rotsee.
