Wald – Sagenraintobel – Farneralp – Wald: "the romantically wild one"

The hike begins at Wald station. At the start, walk along Bahnhofstrasse and pass through the charming village. At the Reformed Church, turn right and follow the signposts to the Sagenraintobel. The ravine is famous for traces of hydropower. On the hike, you cross numerous bridges and follow the Schmittenbach stream. After the first section in the forest, you arrive at Ger. Pass the farm and continue following the signs to the Farneralp. You walk over meadows and cool forest paths. Once you reach Farneralp, you leave the forest and enjoy a wonderful view from 1,154 meters above sea level.

Now stretch out with a house specialty at the mountain inn Farneralp, then the gently descending hike follows the road to Faltigebergstrasse. The signposts lead you back to Wald, where you hike over forest paths and pastures.
