Vreneli Path

From Guggisberg, the path ascends along the southern slope to the Guggershörnli. Along the way, two places invite you to pause: the first below the forest and the second on the ridge in front of the distinctive conglomerate rock. There is the first barbecue spot. The viewing platform of the Guggershörnli is only accessible via a steep staircase. The path to the saddle with the next station between the Guggershörnli and Schwendelberg passes to the left of the rock. From here, there is the possibility to climb to the highest point of the Vreneli path, on the Schwendelberg, to another viewpoint with a barbecue spot. From there, a steep descent leads down to Riffenmatt. Along the marked hiking trail or by post bus, you return to Guggisberg.
