Description
From the village of Vnà it goes level on a wide road over the open south slope through the snowy terrace landscape to Sur Savuogn. Along the way, there is an impressive mountain panorama from Val d’Assa over Val d’Uina to the Sesvenna group south of Scuol. Shortly before Runai, the path leads through a sparse group of trees. Here is the possibility to ascend to Martinatsch, where the entrance to the sledding trail to Ramosch is located.
Those who want to do fewer altitude meters walk straight ahead, slightly downhill to Medras. Here you meet the sledding trail again. Those who prefer to manage the next 4 kilometers downhill to Ramosch by sled rather than on foot are advised to take the sled with them on this winter hike.
Alternating along the edge of the forest and across open terrain, whether on the sled or on foot, you enjoy the view of the Inn in the valley floor, Ramosch, and the snowy peaks of the Lower Engadin Dolomites at the western valley entrance.
Upon reaching Ramosch, the PostAuto bus returns to Vnà or to Scuol/Martina (hourly connection).
