Viamala Visitor Center - Reischen - Zillis

The hike begins at the visitor center of the Viamala Gorge and follows the first 250 m of the road uphill along the valley to the hiking trail sign on the left side of the road, where the 'viaSpluga' trail leads down to the suspension bridge Punt da Suransuns. After crossing the Hinterrhein, the route continues on the other side of the river along a secluded forest path which eventually merges into a forest road further up that branches left towards Reischen.

In Reischen, a covered wooden bridge crosses the 'Ual da Reschen'. On the path from Reischen to Zillis, there is a wonderful view into the Val Schons and the opposite Schamserberg. In Zillis is the listed 12th-century hall church St. Martin with its unique wooden ceiling.
