Description
The path begins in Kreuzlingen, the first town in Thurgau on the Jakobsweg from Konstanz towards Einsiedeln, also known as the “Swabian Way.” After leaving the town, you first pass the Pilgrim Chapel Bernrain, built in 1388, before the pilgrim path leads to the beautiful wetlands near Bommen. Then continue via Ellighausen and Lippoldswilen to the hamlet Rueberbaum at the western foot of the Ottenberg. Those wishing to visit St. Jakob church in Märstetten can hike about one kilometer west from Rueberbaum into the center of Märstetten. Otherwise, this route proposal branches off from the Via Jacobi at that point towards the stage destination Weinfelden.
