Via Alta Vallemaggia- Stage 7S: Fusio-Poncione di Braga Hut

The seventh stage of this wonderful high-altitude hike leads through larch forest and along rocks to the secluded Alpe di Röd. Passing several farmsteads and pastures, you arrive at the Bocchetta di Pisone, which thanks to this trekking is drawing more attention, and before you opens the Valle di Peccia, the only place in Switzerland where marble is extracted. After the steep descent of nearly 1000 meters, near the Peccia River is Casgioléir, a splendid angel of peace. Along a natural rocky ledge, the final ascent is reached. This leads through a landscape of forests and open streams to the Poncione di Braga Hut. Surrounded by majestic peaks, from here you can enjoy a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains.
