Valuable architecture and a traditional cheese

From Tavannes station, head north to the Grand-Rue, follow it to the Jura Railway line and after crossing it, ascend on the ridge to the Forêt de Chaindon. First continue parallel to the cantonal road, then cross the forest to the La Trame stream. Cross it and climb up to the farming village Le Fuet. The big loop of the Bellelay road is cut off by a footpath. Next to the road, continue to the edge of the La Sagne raised bog. Peat was cut here until the end of the Second World War. Through the bog forest, you reach the village of Bellelay.
