Informationen zur Route
Best Time of Year
Description
The route starts in the town of Uznach, where with some luck you can see a large stork colony. Between Ernetschwil and Bildhus, you overcome the first altitude difference of almost 300 meters. Then you ride through the raised bogs on the Ricken. The first climb is done. Next follows a rapid descent into the Goldinger valley; gather your strength here. You ride downhill over asphalt, gravel, and meadow paths. Now you will need the gathered strength for the climb to the 1,157-meter-high Farner. Here you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Linth plain, Lake Zurich, and the Alps. After a relaxing break, your descent to Goldingen begins. Concentration is required here, as this is the most technically demanding part of the route. On the remaining stretch until the goal, you ride comfortably to the finish.
The route covers 31 km on asphalt, 7 km on natural surface, and 1 km on single trails.
