Turbenthal - Schauenberg - Turbenthal

From Turbenthal station, walk through the village towards Hutzikon. Follow the Hutzikerbach through the forest. Midway in the forest, turn left towards Weidhof to reach the road that leads past Studenweidli. At the next larger intersection, go left through the forest uphill to the Schauenberg castle ruins. Enjoy the fantastic view over the Tösstal and the neighboring cantons of Thurgau and St. Gallen. After a relaxing break and a nourishing picnic, take the same path back to the intersection at Tannweid. From here, follow the path through the forest that takes you to Neugrüt and Schnurrberg. Refresh yourself at the Alpwirtschaft Schnurrberg with a drink and treat yourself to a regional snack. Listen to the lovely bell ringing and enjoy nature. Feeling refreshed, take the last stretch through the forest that brings you back to Turbenthal.
