To Stählibuck and the Plättli Zoo

From Frauenfeld Train Station, take the city bus to the cantonal hospital. The pleasant hike over Bühl to Dingenhart up to the Stählibuck Tower takes about 45 minutes. With its 27 meters in height, the observation tower is a sporty challenge for anyone who wants to climb its 148 steps. The reward for the effort is a fantastic panoramic view that stretches from Vorarlberg in the east to the Bernese Alps in the west. And those who have worked up a good appetite on the ascent will find cozy barbecue areas at the foot of the tower.

The descent of about half an hour leads through the forest past the hamlet of Herten to the Plättli Zoo. The animal park hosts about fifty different animal species from around the world. Particularly popular with children are the petting zoo and the fact that the animals can still be fed. The city bus takes you back to the starting point of the excursion.
