Thusis - Carschenna Straight - Thusis

The route starts at Thusis station. From here, you cross the suspension bridge to Sils im Domleschg, past the old station, always uphill towards Crap Carschenna. On the right side, you will soon see Hohen Rätien Castle. Those who have time and energy should definitely visit the castle. The view over the valley is beautiful. Now the ascent gets tougher and really steep towards Crap Carschenna. At Crap Carschenna, there is a fantastic panorama over the Viamala district. A little back and then it goes right down on a very technical trail, full of countless tight hairpin bends. Almost at every bend, the rear wheel has to be shifted. Those who master the technique will have fun here; for everyone else, the trail is definitely not recommended.

The descent from Crap Carschenna via the Carschenna Flow variant is easier.
