Description

This route starts at Häggenschwil-Winden station and first passes the St. Gallen Lömmenschwil over the Chrüzegg to Ruggisberg (Attention: do not follow the car signpost to Ruggisberg but continue about 1 km past Lömmenschwil in the direction of the elevation). This is already the highest point of the route and a magnificent viewpoint with a picturesque chapel. There is also a regional agricultural museum there. Groups can be taken on a one-hour tour by prior arrangement and immersed in the rural life of earlier times.

The path now continues northwards, always gently downhill and with a magnificent view of Lake Constance. This section of the route is particularly beautiful during the fruit blossom season in spring. In the hamlet of Burketsuelishus is the Burkartshof restaurant, which is especially recommended for a break thanks to local specialties and a beautiful garden terrace. The varied paths lead over meadows, fields, and through settlements until Lake Constance is reached. Finally, the last stretch of the route leads along the railway line to the station in Egnach.
