Thurgau circular hiking trail (Fischingen – Münchwilen)

Description
The fifth stage starts at Fischingen Monastery, the only monastery in Thurgau still inhabited by monks. The route follows the pilgrimage path downstream on the right side of the Murg. The Camino de Santiago to Santiago de Compostela, which runs from Kreuzlingen to Fischingen through Thurgau, leaves the Murg's course and leads over the heights. Along the Murg, you reach the St. Martin's Chapel, which is picturesquely located on a steep hill. The chapel was built in the 11th to 12th century. A gem is the small organ, created in 1811 on the upper gallery. Experts say the small work is a dream, surprising with its refreshing, room-filling sound.
Always following the course of the Murg, passing on the edge of Wiezikon and across Sirnach, the hiking trail leads past the swimming pool into Münchwilen.
