Thurgau circular hiking route (Romanshorn – Altnau)

The Thurgau circular hiking route leads from the east side of the station first along the harbor quay to the magnificent lake park, then past the Hotel Inseli and on to the spacious lake bath. Afterwards, it goes under a railway underpass to reach Uttwil via the hamlets Holzenstein and Tobelmüli.

Here you encounter the lakeside path again. This now runs directly along the shore. West of Uttwil it is developed into a woodland educational trail, with the sound of waves and water birds as constant companions.

Further on to Güttingen, there are shaded areas, views, and cozy resting places. Passing the Sunnehüsli, a charming tavern open in good weather with a playground, you reach the harbor of Güttingen, where a swimming area and fire pit invite for a longer stop. Another swimming area is finally at the stage destination in Altnau.
