Description

The last stage of the Thurgau circular hiking route leads from the south entrance of Kartause Ittingen about 200 meters parallel to the road to Warth and then halfway up towards east. Then it descends into the Thurland, crosses the Thur on the Rohrer Bridge and finally follows the Murg river to Frauenfeld train station.

Frauenfeld, the capital of the canton of Thurgau, is a lively small town. Culturally and culinarily, Frauenfeld and its surroundings have a lot to offer. For example, the Historical Museum Thurgau with changing exhibitions is located in Frauenfeld Castle. Creative, regional products and gastronomy can be found and enjoyed from the Seebachtal to the Sonnenberg. The old town, with its magnificent embassy houses from the 18th century, makes a city tour through the alleys worthwhile.
