Description
From Aadorf train station, the path leads toward Unterdorf to the Lützelmurg stream. A well-equipped barbecue area is located 100m downstream on the left bank. The hike continues past the single farm Haggenberg to the Pfadi hut. Circumnavigating the wooded hill to the west, you reach Ettenhausen.
After Ettenhausen, the hiking trail follows the open Dorfbach stream uphill, crosses it, and leads to the “pass height” Rütschberg (669 m above sea level). The valley opens down toward Seelmatten. The descent goes over pastures and through the forest. In Seelmatten, there is the idyllic beach bath at Bichelsee. The natural outdoor pool is a popular destination for cyclists and families. With only 300 meters in diameter, Bichelsee clearly falls into the category “small but charming.” Those who prefer to spend the day on rather than in the water can rent a boat.
