Description
The Thur and Necker Trail is a unique long-distance hiking route in the heart of the Toggenburg vacation region. It connects the picturesque valleys of the Thur and Necker rivers to create an impressive overall experience in which nature, culture, sound and art intertwine in a special way. The paths along the two rivers offer space for a decelerated, mindful journey and lead through landscapes that encourage you to linger and pause for a moment.
Again and again, special places open up: wooden oases that offer peace and quiet, sonorous installations that pick up familiar sounds, as well as stories about nature, culture and customs that invite you to get to know the region in a new way.
The Thur and Necker Trail runs from Wildhaus via Bazenheid to Schwägalp, but can be walked in both directions. Thanks to the good public transport connections, individual sections can also be put together individually and there are numerous opportunities for spontaneous entries and exits.
Recommended stages reveal the diversity of the landscape in all its depth and allow you to experience the special features along the trail in all their glory. Numerous refreshment stops, barbecue areas and oases of peace create the ideal conditions for enjoyable breaks and conscious time-outs.
