The Winter Sonnentrail W3

From Grindelwald, take the gondola to First. One last look at the massive peaks of Schreck and Wetterhorn, and off you go! A well-frequented winter hiking trail leads past the snow-covered Bachalpsee and then climbs some challenging altitude meters up to the Faulhorn. From there starts the sledding run "Big Pintenfritz." On this sledding path, you reach Bussalp. Here you can enjoy excellent food at the mountain restaurant and recover from the exertion. Then you complete the last section on foot or take the bus back to Grindelwald.
