From the pretty village of Les Prés-d’Orvin, you walk slightly uphill past fields, along the forest edge to the Métairie de Prêles. Now follows the more strenuous part of the hike. The trail leads through the forest, overcoming some altitude meters. Then it continues over wooded pastures to the Bergerie du Haut up to the summit of Mont Sujet at 1382 meters above sea level. From here, you have an impressive panorama over the Three-Lakes region, up to the Alps on the horizon. The perfect place for a break. The trail continues gently uphill past pastures, further through the forest and finally to the village of Nods. | From the pretty village of Les Prés-d’Orvin, you walk slightly uphill along fields and the forest edge to reach the Métairie de Prêles. From there, it’s a workout for the calves to cross the forest and emerge onto wooded pastures leading to the top of Mont Sujet, at 1382 meters altitude, passing by the Bergerie du Haut. You discover an impressive panorama of the Three-Lakes Country, with the Alps in the background in clear weather. It’s the ideal moment to enjoy a break while admiring the view. The path then continues gently uphill through the pastures, then through the forest to finally reach the village of Nods.
