The mountain that dominates

Close to the border between Switzerland and Italy, the ridge of Monte Boglia overlooks Lugano… but to get there you must first conquer the mountain, as the route has some quite challenging uphill sections. From the summit, on particularly clear days, the horizon opens like a fan, allowing you to guide your gaze from the Po Valley all the way to Monte Rosa and the Ligurian Apennines. Brè, the starting and finishing point, can be reached by funicular, operating from March to December.
