Tarasp – Inn gorge – Ardez

From Tarasp Fontana the hike leads pleasantly flat through the hamlets Chaposch, Valatscha and Aschera. The clearing already offers a view of the destination of the hike. On the other side of the valley parts of Ardez and the ruins of Steinsberg castle can be seen. At the farm you "dive" into the dense forest and turn right immediately after the small bridge. At the end of the steep descent awaits the adventurous crossing of the suspension bridge "Punt Veidra" over the Inn.  

From the bridge the path steadily climbs to the Catholic church on the edge of the village of Ardez and to the train station. It's recommended to take a village walk in Ardez or a detour to the Steinsberg castle ruins with views over the roofs of Ardez and the surrounding mountain world of the Lower Engadin.
