Description
The Sertig valley with the small Walser village of Sertig Dörfli and its romantic little church is a place of calm amid the hectic winter bustle of the five Davos ski areas. Cross-country skiers find peace along the trails beside the Sertigbach – the more than 360 meters of ascent also get the pulse racing.
At the very end of the valley, the imposing rock ridge formed by Mittagshorn (2735 m), Plattenflue (3013 m), and Hoch Ducan (3062 m) watches over Sertig. Ice climbers play out all levels of difficulty on the frozen waterfalls in the valley head. In contrast, the less difficult ski tour to the Tällihorn is pure pleasure. From Sertig Dörfli, the ascent through the larch forest and the Maiensässe of Tällimeder is delightful.
If you choose the route from the Tällifurgga (point 2567 m) over the ridge to the summit of the Tällihorn, you will still experience some alpine flair. You will be rewarded not only with a fantastic view but also, under safe conditions, the descent over the steeper west slope from the summit is true enjoyment.
ROUTE
From Sertig Dörfli (1861 m) towards Feelabach, from point 1966 follow the summer path through the larch forest heading for Tällimeder, pass through the Gaschurner Tälli to the Tällifurgga (2567 m) – from here either carry your skis on your backpack and go directly over the ridge to the summit or descend about 40 vertical meters, cross under the Tällihorn (attention: only under safe conditions!) and ascend it via the southeast flank – from the summit, descend the west slope if safe.
In unsafe conditions, descend directly from the Tällifurgga or from the neighboring peak (point 2623 m) along the ascent route.
