Description
Already within the first kilometers, the route passes the beautiful, well-known Caumasee, whose turquoise blue water delights numerous visitors every year. Shortly thereafter, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Rhine Gorge, the “Grand Canyon of Switzerland.” The Ruinaulta is a geological masterpiece formed by the Flims rockslide about 9,000 years ago and is today one of the most spectacular landscapes in Switzerland.
From the Ruinaulta, the route leads to Trin, where you tackle the first ascent towards Alp Mora. Alp Mora offers a unique view of the surrounding peaks and impresses with natural phenomena such as the glacier mills in Val Maliens.
After another climb, you reach the impressive high valley of Bargis before the route leads up to the Flimserstein. From there, it continues to the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Sardona, where the tectonic arena awaits you with the famous Tschingelhörner and the Martinsloch.
From here, you run through Nagens and onwards to Crap Masegn, which delights you with a fantastic view of the surroundings.
Down to Plaun, from there you feel the proximity of the goal. Enjoy the last kilometers through the forest before crossing the finish line after an unforgettable journey through breathtaking nature.
The K78 Trailrun not only offers you an intense running experience but also the opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity of the Swiss mountain landscape up close.
