Sunny and shady side of the Chronbach

Farmhouses and cattle sheds typical of the scattered settlements in the Appenzell region are spread out over the hilltops. You can wonderfully hike from Urnäsch to Jakobsbad over the hills with gentle ascents and descents. The route back leads on the other side of the valley via the sun-drenched slopes of the Stechlenegg. And between them flows the Chronbach.
