Description

The first almost 500 meters of elevation up to the Tschinglen Alp can be overcome with the Tschinglen cable car. Here you will also find catering and accommodation options. This is followed by the steep ascent to the Brünschegg, from where the jagged peaks of the Tschingelhörner can be seen very clearly above the razor-sharp line of the Glarus thrust. Upon arrival at Segnespass, you have a magnificent mountain panorama. The hut from the Second World War now serves as a mountain lodge hut. This is followed by the steep descent over the lower Segnes Plain (alluvial plain and moor landscape of national importance) to the Segnes Hut, from where the Flimserstein is visible. To the west of the Flimserstein, the largest alpine rockslide occurred after the last Ice Age. Via the Trutg dil Flem, it goes down to Flims, the start or endpoint of the Sardona World Heritage Trail.
