Description
The entire Haute Route Graubünden passes four huts and takes five days to complete. You have experience of ski touring and deep snow and can master steeper passages on the ascent and descent. You have mastered the hairpin bend and are physically fit enough for a four-hour ascent and up to 1200 m. Then nothing stands in the way of this ski crossing!
From the Jenatsch hut, traverse the steep south-eastern flank of the Crasta Jenatsch. Then ascend in the hollow towards Fuorcla Laviner, crossing to the north-east just before the saddle. The skis are deposited at 3080m, then you climb on foot through the gully to the summit. The descent leads through some small couloirs to Naz. Take the train from Preda to Madulain, where you climb up to the Chamanna d'Es-cha on the summer access path directly behind the station. Through the forest to Alp Es-cha Dadour, then steadily uphill in Val Müra to the Chamanna d`Es-cha, the day's destination.
