Description
After a cozy evening at the hut and certainly a deep sleep, the next day brings the next stage of the Via Glaralpina. From the Mülibachtal Skihütte (1763 m above sea level) you follow the path towards Murgsee up to the Widersteinerhüttli (1831 m above sea level). Then descend about 30 meters towards Engi, leaving the mountain hiking trail to the right and crossing the Widersteiner Bach. Here starts the alpine hiking trail. White-blue-white markings guide you through Chüebüch – above over beautiful dark red Verrucano slabs, in a large arc to Gufelstock (2435 m above sea level). Now begins the panoramic hike on the "Schoggigrat", named after the Glarner chocolate manufacturer. Perhaps after a sweet snack, continue via Höch / Chli Höch and Heustock to Schwarzstöckli (2383 m above sea level). Then over Wiss-Chamm to Rotärd and Fronalppass (1855 m above sea level), and further down to the Naturfreundehaus Fronalp (1389 m above sea level).
