Stage 06 Via Glaralpina - summit destination Ortstock, the Braunwald Matterhorn

From the Ortstockhaus (1772 m asl), the mountain hiking trail leads over the Bärentritt secured with chains to the beautiful plain of the Lauchboden. From here you climb steeply upwards, further and further, towards the Furggele (2394 m asl). At the top, a wide view opens down to the Glattalp. Those who want can take the detour from the Furggele to the summit goal Ortstock (2717 m asl). Afterwards, it’s "debris surfing" – the descent to the Glattalp takes place on the mountain hiking trail in rather slate rock. Soon the sparkling Glattalpsee invites you to bathe and the Glattalphütte SAC (1895 m asl) to a well-deserved sleep.
