Description

From the PostBus stop in Sta. Maria the way goes downstream. At the end of Sta. Maria before the bridge, the forest road leads left from La Boschetta towards Val Vau and Tschuccai. At Las Clastras follow the alp road towards Val Mora, admiring the impressive Lai da Rims waterfall opposite, the path passes by Alp Praveder until the Döss Radond. Proudly awaiting us is Piz Praveder after Val Döss Radond with the ascent up to 2,763 m above sea level. One of the most beautiful mountain lakes with crystal-clear water appears, the Lai da Rims at 2396 m above sea level. Enjoy the unique view: the outer Val Müstair lies before us, behind us Val Mora with Piz Turettas, in front of us to the right Piz Umbrail, 3,033 m above sea level, our “competitor” indeed. From there, Lai da Rims can also be reached. Resting at the mountain lake delta and enjoying the idyllic spot is a must. The descent into the valley goes steeply down in a zigzag eastwards along Val Madonna. After crossing the Aua da Rims we reach Tschuccai and follow the alp road Spi da Vau. After the junction of the hiking path, the path leads towards Valchava, past the lime kiln “Chalchera”. This hiking section belongs to the “4 elements hike - Senda trafögl”. From the forest edge it is not far to the PostBus stop Valchava, cumün.
