South Planet Path Kreuzlingen

Description
The South Planet Path starts at Siegershausen station and leads over the Bommerweiher nature reserve and through the forest – always slightly downhill – to the Lake Constance Planetarium in Kreuzlingen.
The South Planet Path begins at the planet Pluto and ends at the Sun. The scale reduction is one billion, meaning that with every step you take double the distance from the Earth to the Moon. On the way, you will find information boards about the planets whose orbits you just crossed. The planets themselves are, of course, represented in the same scale, for example, the Earth as a sphere of 13 mm diameter at 150 meters distance from the solar disc. At a leisurely walking pace, you travel at three to four times the speed of light.
Depending on the day, various shows are offered in the Lake Constance Planetarium. On Wednesdays and Sundays, there are special shows for children and families. Particularly convenient: from the Lake Constance Planetarium, you can return by train (S14, Thurbo regional train, towards Weinfelden) in 7 minutes back to the starting point Siegershausen.
