Description

The snowshoe trail starts at the Marbachegg mountain station. You can comfortably glide there with the Bretzeli-Bahn from Marbach. Once the first meters of altitude are covered, the route through the sparkling snow landscape can begin. The trail leads constantly downhill, first past the Siedenmoosflue to Nesselboden. You will probably discover some traces of rabbits or wild animals – keep your eyes open. Then the path leads you through the wonderfully snow-covered forests. Shortly before arriving back in the village of Marbach, you pass the Schrattenschanze in Marbach. Marbach is an important training center for Nordic junior athletes in Central Switzerland. The ski jump facility, which even has a drag lift, was opened in December 1991 and has been frequently used since. After an initiative started in 2002, the large ski jump was finally enlarged in spring 2005 and covered with mats. Then the trail leads you to the main road, where the route ends.

Special rates for pedestrians Throughout the entire winter season, pedestrians can travel up to Marbachegg and back for only 10 francs.
