Description
The winter hiking trail leads through light fir forests up to the viewpoint "Chnügrat". The higher you go, the more open the Glarus summit panorama with the Ortstock, the Braunwald local mountain and the mighty Tödi (3614 m above sea level) presents itself. Spectacular: the view of the deepest valley incision in Switzerland; because almost 3000 vertical meters lie between the highest Glarus peak and the village of Linthal. The route follows the ridge to Seblengrat (1895 m above sea level) up to the rustic mountain restaurant "Skibeiz Seblengrat". Variants and tips: We recommend you do this route with snowshoes. With the Seblen chairlift you can comfortably return to Braunwald.
